COCORA AND COFFEE

¿Qué hacer?

The tour begins by taking visitors to the municipality of Salento and then to Cócora where they can learn about the history of the national tree of Colombia, the wax palm and its importance, they will make a walk in the valley of Cocora where they can observe the beauty of the landscape. At noon you will enjoy a typical lunch in a typical restaurant and make a short stop in Salento to walk the streets and visit handicrafts. Finally, you will visit the typical coffee farm at dusk and make a specialized coffee tour starting with the placement of baskets to the belt of visitors that will make them feel like true collectors. The second station is the production where they can plant, transplant, harvest and know the composting of a special coffee. The third is the visit to a water source where it springs from the mountain. The fourth season is the benefit, where we talk about washing, fermenting and drying the coffee, they go to the fifth station that will show them how the coffee is selected by hand by mothers head of family.
